Driving cross country, I got a check engine light near Birmingham, AL, and a friend guided me to Brenton's. It was 3 pm, but Patrick got right on it and determined that I had a bad transmission solenoid. A friend of theirs kindly drove me to a local hotel. They had my truck back on the road by noon the next day. Southern hospitality and efficiency at its best!

These guys have been great! After the Jeep dealer dissed my older model Cherokee I found Brenton's and they have been so helpful, honest and easy to work with. They explain what the problem is and how they are going to fix it. Having the work done at Brenton's saved me time--done in one day--and over a thousand bucks compared to the dealer quote after having my car for 2+days just to diagnose the problem.

It is hard to find an honest and reliable mechanic these days. Brian and the team at Brenton's was very courteous and made many recommendations to cure my issues, including looking up the wiring diagrams for my car on the internet, without asking for anything. When those cures failed to resolve the issues, they were very accommodating when I needed to tow the vehicle and very quick in completing the repairs. Fortunately, my repairs were covered under my extended warranty and they filed the claim for me. I would recommend Brenton's Automotive to anyone who is in need of a mechanic.

I always take my cars to Brian. I've been getting my cars serviced here for over 30 years. Brian is the reason I keep coming back. He's always professional and friendly. He has always priced fairly. 5 stars.... And then some.

They helped me when my truck broke down while traveling through on a Saturday. Recommended the wrecker service to get me to his shop and worked me in immediately to get me back on road. Great service, reasonable rates, and friendly. I highly recommend this shop.

My family and I were on vacation and had an issue with our truck and had to stop in Alabama. The folks at Brentons Automotive were fantastic and very reasonable priced. We got there before they opened and they didn't hesitate to help us.

This is a great local business to support. Brian and Patrick do a great job and they are fair to you. You don't have to worry about unnecessary additions. I have been taking cars there for almost 20 years. Brian is great at building a custom exhaust system. Go see them for repair work.
